So, how are you doing on your summer bucket list? We’ve been busy checking things off ours and having a lot of fun along the way. Our original ideas have even sprouted a few new ones that we’re going to add to next year’s list!

Making popsicles and getting a Slip n’ Slide were a couple of the first things the boys mentioned when we started making our lists back in May. Thanks to my friend Laura the boys have enjoyed many fun filled hours of a slippin’ and a slidin’. When they’re ready for a break, popsicles are the first snack they ask for. As I mentioned in Monday’s post, they’ve been on heavy rotation in our freezer this summer.

Since we’re enjoying popsicles so much this summer we decided to pass the fun on to you! As part of the fun we’re having with The Happy Family Movement’s Summer Bucket List Challenge the boys and I have decided to giveaway two of our favorite tools for making summer worthy treats; rocket popsicle molds and Ice Pops: Recipes for Fresh and Flavorful Frozen Treats.

All you need to do to enter our little giveaway is to comment on what’s been a favorite activity off your Summer Bucket List. The giveaway will close Sunday, July 8th at midnight central standard time. The winner will be contacted via email.
Have a great weekend!

Going to the pool!
my favorite activity has been taking the kids to the pool almost weekly and cooling off/splashing/playing together
We have also been participating in the Happy Family Movement Summe Bucket List challenged and LOVE IT!
Our favorite spur of the moment “add on” the the bucket list was jumping off a bridge!!! Our lake is full this year and there is a small bridge connecting a small island! We saw some kids taking the leap and we decided we HAD to do it! It was a blast!!!
We have been enjoying lazy summer days around the pool after hot yard work.
We have been enjoying lots of family bike rides it’s always a treat to explore the neighborhood on two wheels!
My kids favorite activity is riding our bikes to 7-11 to get slurpees!
Tubing at the lake!
Our favorite activity that we’ve crossed off of our summer bucket list this year was a tie: they loved building little structures out of toothpicks and marshmallows (and then having a marshmallow fight with mom!), and they all loved having a watermelon eating contest (handless, of course) and ask if we can do it everytime I buy a watermelon!
A trip to San Diego!
First, the photos you take of your children are always absolutely adorable!
Second, since I’ve been away at camp, I’m just now getting to my summer bucket list but I’m headed up to a concert in Wisconsin tonight!
Spending time at the beach (or just outside in general) has been our favorite activity. Unlike so much of the country, we have not had the killer hot temperatures but having some nice sunshine and good weather instead of rain has been wonderful.
My favorite activity has been deep-water soloing at Summersville Lake, in WV
rock-climbing over the lake, minus all the usual rope/gear, is so liberating and a perfect refreshing summertime activity…. almost as refreshing as a popsicle
My favorite “summer bucket list” item has been including lots of yummy things from our garden in each meal.In past years, the garden was always “started” but never really maintained or used. We’ve enjoyed so many great salads and sides with fresh veggies, and soon we’ll be able to enjoy our raspberries and blueberries! Those berries will make delicious popsicles
Too many things to just think of one but at the top of the list – horseback riding in the mountains, Boulder Farmer’s Market & enjoying all of the yummies we get in our CSA bag every week (this is our 1st summer for CSA & we love it!
).
Going to Waterparks for sure! My kids a daredevils and so much fun to take to amusement parks
Great rainy day activities were making a pinata and making our own game board – decorating it with markers, crayons, and stickers, and playing the game! For sunny days we have been enjoying the lake or playing with water in the back yard.
Just scheduled a day at the lake, complete with wakeboarding and bbq’ing. PERFECT.
Loving the smoothies and popsicles, so this giveaway would be perfect for us!
Our favorite summer activity has been walking to a neighboring park that has a creek to play and picnic.
My favorite activity so far was a four day camping trip! I think my kiddo’s favorite has been disc golf, because she’s way better than her mom!
My favorite has been visiting a big farmer’s market, but I’m pretty sure the rest of my family would say their favorite has been “Spray Mommy With the Hose”!
Letting my one year old splashin his pool outside on warm days, of which we have had very few.
Id have to say that our favorite activity so far has been going to dairy queen! My kids loved it!!!!
Letting my one year old splash in his pool outside on warm days, of which we have had very few.
We are making our way through out “Summer Bucket List of 50 Things”…my favorite is “going to Ivanna Cone (in Lincoln)” but the kids’ favorite is “running through the sprinkler”! Happy Summer!
Our favorite activity was seeing the tall ships in Baltimore’s harbor for the Sailabration of the War of 1812. They were amazing!
We’ve had a blast enjoying the items on our bucket list! I think our favorite was setting up and going through an obstacle course in our back yard!
Our favorites have been blueberry picking (and all the treats we made afterwards)and lots of water play.
on my list is a fishing trip with my nephews who will be visiting (they live in FL, I am in NJ) next week.
so far it’s been the camping we’ve done, but I’m really looking forward to floating down the Penticton river!
purchase a pool {check} swim all the time {check}
Hiking with my niece and nephew (who also love popsicles!)!!
my husband has been teaching me to play tennis. we meet during his lunch break, & i look forward to it so much. love that you are doing a bucket list with your boys. we created our own summer manifesto, & it’s been the best! (http://colourmehappy.typepad.com/colour-me-happy/2012/06/our-summer-manifesto.html).
We had a tie dye party and it was pretty awesome.
Visiting the farmer’s market every Saturday, and trying new recipes based on what the vendors say will be for sale over the next few weeks. Great way to get out of the same ol’ recipe rotation! (and be more involved with the community!)
We have spent time making crafts out of recycled objects and it’s been fun!
Our favorite summer activity so far has been the slip n slide. It’s simple, but our boys love to pull it out and spend the day outside running wild.
So my family just started this family bucket list.. Better late than never right@!!@ My 13 yearold has a goal of visiting every suspenion bridge in our state this summer!! Lots of great ideas and we are pulling in aunts to do this with us
Paddle boating this week since we FINALLY have hot weather wooohooo
Our favorite summer activity so far has been learning (or re-learning for me!) to play board games. My girls are now old enough to play games, and it’s been such fun! On every rainy or too hot day we’ve been playing games. Yesterday we dug out Parcheesi from my mom’s house. It brought back a flood of memories of playing Parcheesi with my Grandma!
We have been doing the Happy Family Movement Summer Bucket List. We have been having fun with it. I think so far, the kids favorite thing has been the baking soda balloons. Although the paint with fly swatters was pretty fun too!
Making homemade vanilla bean ice cream… it was fun to have the kids learn the ice cream making process. It was even more fun to eat the ice cream with chocolate brownies and strawberries!
This has been our first year with a bucket list, and we have been loving it! We’re big park goers, and made a goal to find ten new parks this summer. It’s been so fun to discover some new sides of Boise while visiting all our old favorites too.
