There’s been a crispness to the air this week.  The mornings are calling for sweatshirts and a cup of warm tea.  Hints of fall are starting to show up in the fields at the farm as well.  Cool weather veggies like greens, radishes, beets and carrots are making a return to the field.  Leeks are being harvested.  Pumpkins and winter squash have been picked.  The tomato trellises are heavy with fruit not quite ready to yield to autumn’s arrival.  There is still plenty of work to be done in the fields, but the pace is a bit slower.  Only a few weeks left of CSA and there’s talk of plans for next years’ planting, all after a much deserved vacation when the season comes to a close.

If you are interested in seeing how this project came to be, I’m sharing about it over on ‘The Creative Mama’ today.  To see other Farm to Table Project posts, click here.

One Response to Farm to Table Project: Fall is in the Air

This is just wonderful, start to finish. I love all the photos, but the winter squash especially. Squash has so much character! And I love this meditation on the turning of season.
